I Do… Oli & Vicky, Southwood Hall {Favourite Five Moments}

So at last the sun returned for Oli and Vicky’s gorgeous wedding on Saturday and I was very excited to capture this their day.

Vicky has been a guest blogger over on the fabulous Rock my Wedding and I knew with her dream team of suppliers this was going to be a really beautiful day!

I headed to Oli’s Dad’s house to start with him and his best man getting ready before heading over to the girls at Southwood Hall. With 6 bridesmaids, hair and makeup as well as the two mums it was a lovely busy morning! Music playing, champagne flowing and lots of excitement!

Vicky is a GB cyclist and after an extremely serious accident last year when they weren’t even sure if she would walk again, after a very long road of recovery is now back in training and looking incredible (trust me I have seen the abs!)

As she got into her beautiful backless dress we were all blown away not least her lovely dad who got rather emotional seeing his little girl looking stunning on a day that Vicky, Oli and her whole family have been working towards overcoming more struggles than most.

They had the most beautiful ceremony at Acle church and exited to sunshine, confetti with their dogs and their group shots outside the church doors.

Back at the venue we nipped out for a few shots with their car while guests were treated to drinks and canapés on the lawn and terrace to a background of the fabulous Bill Downs singing. After their couple shots they entered for their meal Vicky dancing through the tables and chairs to their places!

They had a delicious two course meal which Tom, Bill and I were also treated to (still dreaming of that trio of desserts!) I think their 5 speeches were possibly some of the most emotional I have ever heard, everyone touched on Vicky’s accident but more than that how she had overcome something so life changing with huge amounts of positivity, determination and incredible hard work and I am sure she will agree that is also testament to Oli and their amazing families.  Even I was welling up listening to her and Oli’s family expressing how proud they are of both of them.

After the speeches we sneaked off for some couple shots in the fields and timing it perfectly just as the sun was going down we got a rather amazing golden hour.

Back at Southwood we finished with their first dance and a few dance floor shots before their evening food of pizzas and doughnuts (I resisted) were served!

It was a real pleasure to capture this amazing wedding and a big shout out to the following suppliers (if I have missed anyone please let me know and I will add you).
