On Saturday I had the huge pleasure to shoot at the gorgeous Great Barn at Hales Hall again and it was just as perfect as it had been last week for Jess and Ruben’s day last week!
To start the morning I met the girls all getting ready at Maxine’s house. The house was full of laughter and fizz and with Maxine’s dad keeping himself busy warming pastries for everyone it was the most wonderful morning.
They chose to get married in the beautiful little Cringleford Church which is the sweetest church raised up on a little hill as you drive through the village. Matthew’s dad has the most gorgeous vintage Riley which they were lucky enough to use as their wedding car on the day and Maxine just looked SO excited as she pulled up outside the church with her Dad this had to be one of their sneak peeks.
They had the most gorgeous ceremony by their lovely Vicar Heather before heading out in to the sunshine for confetti on the lawn and were waived off my their friends and family before they headed over to the Great Barn to be met with drinks and canapés on the lawn. After their family photos we headed off for some gorgeous couple shots round the grounds, arriving back just in time for their speeches before their meal.
In the evening although we didn’t quite get a full golden hour, the sun did get low and the sky hazy so we headed out for a few more shots in the long grasses at the back of the barns. As their car was still their as the evening drew in (which never happens!) for their last shot of the night we headed out to have some fun with some lighting and this is one of my favourites from their day!
Huge thank you to Matt and Maxine for looking after us so well and being up for sitting in the car in the dark to get this shot, to Matt’s Dad for being kind enough to move it and allow us to use it for this image and to all of the Hales Hall staff for being great to work with.
Here are my favourite 5 moments from a gorgeous, happy day…
