On Saturday I was back at the gorgeous Chaucer Barn for Jimmy and Gabrielle’s day. As I set off in the morning it was raining but talked of clearing up around lunch time. Well they couldn’t have planned the weather any better, the clouds parted and we had blue skies for their ceremony and drinks on the lawn as well as all their photos and their outdoor speeches. Then just as they had sat to eat it started spitting. An hour later it cleared up again and we got around 10 mins of beautiful golden hour light in the fields!
When I arrived the barn was lovely and calm. A few things were being set up and Gabrielle was having her hair done by the awesome Flamingo Amy. Gaby decided to do her own makeup and then got into her gorgeous light dress (perfect for an outdoor wedding) with the help of her lovely mum Sharon. I have to say she looked incredible and as she descended the stairs with her bouquet by Bramble and Berry I think her Dad was pretty blown away too!
I loved the moment as they got to the end of the aisle and the look on their faces as her and Jimmy looked at each other for the first time. After a beautiful outdoor ceremony they headed inside for the legal signing before coming out to clouds of confetti. They had lots of time to mingle in the sunshine with their guests and enjoy the drinks and canapés before we captured their group shots and they did outdoor speeches on the steps of the barn (my favourite!)
After a delicious meal by Alex Chef the sun started to get lovely and low so we nipped back out and into the fields for a few golden hour photos just before their first dance.
I always love a Chaucer Barn wedding and this one was just magical in every way. Full of the loveliest friends and family, yummy food and drink, great music and lots of time it was just a gorgeous happy relaxed day with the sweetest couple saying ‘I do’.
I struggled as usual to pick just 5 sneak peeks but here they are, my favourite five moments from their day…
Have a wonderful honeymoon guys and I look forward to seeing you for our album meeting in a few weeks time!
