Saturday was my first wedding of 2016 and I couldn’t wait! Nicola and Jeremy’s wedding was at the beautiful Kersey Mill in Suffolk which was a venue I had never shot at before.
As they were getting married in March they decided to book one of my mini packages so 5 hours coverage for the most important parts of the day.
The day arrived and it was cold and wet as Emma and I drove through Norfolk and down in to Suffolk. We had left early so we headed to the venue first to have a quick look around, meet the lovely co-ordinator Becky and get a few shots of the venue itself. We then headed over to meet Nicola who was getting ready with her mum, little boy Charlie and bridesmaid Scarlet.
It was a lovely relaxed morning and although when we arrived Charlie had just woken up within half an hour he was smiling and joining in with the ladies! Nicola got in to her beautiful dress and then Dad met her at the room just before we left to ‘see’ her for an ‘unveil’ in her stunning gown.
We headed over to meet Jeremy and his 3 best men and brothers at the venue and the guests were starting to arrive and get excited!
They had a beautiful ceremony and gorgeous Charlie played a big part cuddling his mum all the way through. After the ceremony we nipped out in to get their confetti and group photos and the weather was on our side as despite the cold it stayed dry!
When a couple already has children I love to try to include them in their couple shots for the first 5-10 minutes. Charlie is a huge part of Nicola and Jeremy’s life and no doubt one of the very reasons they want to get married in the first place so to spend a little time getting some gorgeous images of the 3 of them is really special. We then whisked just the two of them off round the grounds for 20 minutes and just as we were finishing the sun made a quick appearance for us!
I have so many gorgeous images from this wedding but as always here are my favourite 5 shots… 5 that stood out to me as being extra special…
Huge thanks to Emma for doing a great job of assiting and to Jeremy and Nicola for braving the cold, it was so worth it!
