Hamish and Helen had the most wonderful family celebration yesterday at the beautiful Chaucer Barn. They opted for a ‘mini package’ so 5 hours of gorgeous coverage and what a fabulous day we had!

Hamish and Helen both have children from previous relationships so it was a wonderful family affair and as every Chaucer Barn wedding seems to be it was relaxed and fun!

When I arrived the ladies were getting ready in the flint bedroom and having a lovely time getting their hair done. The weather couldn’t quite decide what it was doing and despite deciding to have an indoor ceremony while I was shooting the gents the sun came out and the sky turned blue so the quick decision was made to put the chairs outside and have a ceremony on the lawn.

Helen looked stunning in her dress, a beautiful satin long gown with gorgeous beading, so elegant. Her son Jonathan walked her up the aisle and her Dad met her at the top to give her away, such a magical moment. We had a few spots of rain during the ceremony but it didn’t matter at all, the brollies came out and everyone stayed put as it passed over.

They were able to have drinks and canapés on the lawn and we nipped off for their couple shots in the grounds. As we did the sky started to turn black so as we arrived back everyone was seated just in time for the meal before the heavens really opened!

They did 2 wonderful speeches before the meal which I captured before I said goodbye. As always there are so many gorgeous moments from this day but I wanted to focus a little on how important their family is to them in their sneak peeks so below are my favourite five….

As Helen arrived at the top of the aisle she leant over to say hello to Hamish while still holding her dad’s hand, such a beautiful moment… their boys called each other ‘brother’ and did a high five as they signed the register… an awesome confetti moment… as the sky started to turn black… and the wonderful moment Helen wasn’t sure she wanted her dad to hear what Hamish had to say in his speech, such a perfect day!
