Home… is where the heart is… it’s not a place, it’s a feeling… home sweet home…
Many of you will know that we have spent the last 5 years gaining planning permission and building our own house.
In the mean time we had our little girl Robyn and our ‘house’ became so much more. Before she came along home was our place as a couple, often a base as we worked hard and travelled a little, somewhere to kick off our shoes after an evening out or have lazy lay ins.
Our new home, with our little girl was built with so much love as the walls went up my bump became bigger and we became more excited about decorating our little ladies bedroom than anything else (except perhaps a decent shower!)
Two years later this house we built is our little girl’s childhood home, the only one she will remember. It is often messy, the family room is full of toys, the laundry is never up to date (I try!), it’s not finished, it’s not perfect but it’s where we cuddle on the sofa to watch films, where Robyn stands on the ‘big stool’ to help me bake, the bathroom is always soaked after big bubble baths and lazy lie ins are now 7am with a wriggly small girl keen to start the day!
In essence we love our HOME and I have realised that when you have children home is such a special place… It’s where we spend most of our time as a family.
SO… I am thrilled to announce my new Family Shoots…
‘L E T S S T A Y H O M E’
Of course I love getting out and about in Norfolk so my location lifestyle shoots are still very much available and I have lots booked in already.
This shoot is for the family who would like something a little different, capturing day-to-day life as it happens in a two-hour shoot quite simply at home. Baking a cake, playing with the dog in the garden, reading a favourite story, bath time, nap-time, jigsaw puzzles just you being at home, together.
The Brien Family were the first and we had SO much fun. Their little boy Stanley is so full of personality I feel like a shoot at home really allows your children to show it. Surrounded by their favourite toys or games, reading stories on a sofa they spend so much of their time, cuddling up to mummy, popping wellies on and playing in the garden with daddy.
THIS is family life and THIS is the Brien’s…
