Monday Monday… welcome!

A huge welcome to my brand spanking NEW BLOG! I have decided to do a wee bit of a diary style post on a Monday. This may be a personal post to allow you to get to know me a little better or perhaps a little of what I have been up to in the last week maybe with a sneak peek or two : )

So last week was crazy! After my Mac Book Pro died I invested in an iMac (my new best friend). My lovely other half Rob set it up for me (I can be a bit of a technophobe) and I spent rather too much time adding bits and pieces and simply ‘playing’ with it most evenings in to the wee small hours!

On Thursday I had a Lifestyle shoot for a lovely family whose little girl Connie I photographed in December for the Taverham Hall Christmas play. We all met at the beautiful Wells beach, as many of you will know one of my favourite paces to shoot, and although the morning had been a little wet the sun came out just in time! We had a lovely afternoon playing on the beach with the children building sandcastles and generally being pros in front of the camera! Sneak peek to follow!

As well as that I was working hard to get my new website and blog up and running designed by the fantastic Flourish Studios I am thrilled with the results but as you can imagine I have been adding content like a mad thing in time for this weekends huge EDP wedding show! Upon the site going live my lovely friend Lizzie from the gorgeous Times Two Hearts blog ran a little feature on me and the launch of the new site read this HERE

The show was a great success and I had a fantastic time chatting to potential new bride and grooms and hearing some truly beautiful Engagement stories as well as the odd funny one! I must say a huge thank you to my lovely brides and couples who came to say hello; Catherine, Rebecca, Carley, Anna and Richard it was lovely to see your friendly faces there and feel your support, I hope you all had a lovely day. My new brochures flew out the door and I had so many lovely comments about my stand and work  so a big thank you to all and especially my lovely friend Emma an ex bride herself who helped me on the stand both days. Here is a few photos of the stand excuse the quality they were taken on my iphone!

To top off the week there were a  couple photos of little old me on the beautiful Bridal Musings blog having tried the video the lovely Elizabeth posted last week to curl your hair with no heat! Check out the photos HERE and the video HERE excuse the photo again taken from my iMac!

So that was my week I hope you all had a lovely weekend  and enjoy the new look website and blog!

Wow-your stand looks gorgeous, well done! Loving the new blog too -so you. The little details of the wallpaper and the tiny birds are so pretty and give your brides to be especially a taste of what makes you special, and different. There are a huge number of wedding photographers out there but every day I thank my lucky stars that you were available to take our wedding pictures. You never get a second chance and even now, your photos of our day make me smile! I rotate my faves on my iPhone as wallpaper and show them to everyone. It always causes an “aahhhhh”! If you’re a bride and you’re reading this – check Kathy’s availability now before someone else pinches your date x

Your new blog is really great and think your first post is fab. I think it’s great to do a post thats a bit more personal and tells a little more about you as a person. Think it’s really important as a photographer to be a real person to your couples, not just a photographer. The pics of your stand look stunning too. Hope you had a successful day x
