Yesterday evening hopping for a little evening sunlight I headed up to the beach to meet Rich and Emma for their engagement shoot. They have booked me to capture their Chaucer barn wedding in September but living in Solihull I hadn’t yet met them!

When we met the sun was shining and just starting to get a little lower over the beach. We explored the woods and the gorgeous beach huts and then heard toward the dunes. I have to say these two were a breeze to photograph, they are both very cuddly and very smily especially Emma who just grinned up at Rich (all 6 foot 5 of him!) the whole shoot!

AsI loved hearing about their exciting plans for their Mexican themed wedding and Chaucer Barn is going to be the perfect backdrop for their plans.

As we headed over to the dunes the clouds started to come over the sun and the sky got darker and darker. We got down to the sea and the sky to our left had turned dark grey with the most incredible pink as the sun was going down.

I have so many gorgeous smily shots of these two but I just adored the serenity of this image, cuddling in the sea and that incredible sky!

I can’t wait to share the rest and I am so looking forward to their wedding day. Huge thanks to Rich and Emma for being so much fun to work with… as I drove away the rain came down and the thunder and lightening started!
