June is my busiest month so far this year and I really feel like wedding season is hotting up! I love this time of year, it always feels so exciting receiving timelines, making plans, working with my favourite suppliers and being back at to the wonderful venues Norfolk has to offer.
I headed to the girls in the morning getting ready at Southwood and it was buzzing wit activity. Lots of lovely bridesmaids were getting beautified by the amazing Emily from Love Moi Makeup and Tracey from Tracey Ward Hair. Another wedding another seriously lovely group of girls and I have to say this always makes a huge difference on the wedding morning. They were already having a giggle when I arrived and they were so warm and welcoming I just had a damn good morning having a giggle with them.
Tom arrived from the brilliant Browns Films and then flowers from the epic Swaffham Florist shortly after, Lucie really did choose a dream team of suppliers!
I think we were all rather bowled over at the site of her as she got into her incredible Suzanne Neville Dress, this is one of my favourite designers and my goodness did Lucie look stunning in this elegant design, it looked like it had been designed just for her.
Once ready she had a reveal to her dad and bridesmaids and then we rushed off to get to the Catholic Cathedral ahead of her. Guests were starting to arrive and take their seats but we had a little hold up as we waited for the forgotten order of service to arrive from Southwood Hall…. causing a little stress on the morning but a great story to tell the grandchildren and also meant I got some extra time to get some beautiful shots of Lucie and her Bridesmaids outside the cathedral including the shot of them lined up below which is a view I never get as I wait at the front for them to walk down the aisle!
They had a beautiful ceremony and then we nipped into the Cathedral gardens for their group shots before they exited to clouds of confetti… they are winning in the most confetti stakes so far this year!
Back at Southwood they had planned their timings well so had lots of time with their guests before we nipped off for their bridesmaids and groomsmen shots and then a few couple shots.
They decided on their speeches before the meal to allow everyone to relax for their dinner…. a great call as this also means after dinner we can nip out in the next light for photos without waiting for speeches.
We nipped out to get some smoke bomb shots and then a little later again for golden hour before the pizza was served, an awesome game of football by the guys in the garden and the first dance commenced.
Huge thanks to all Tom and Lucie’s lovely family friends and bridal party for making me feel so welcome. Here are my favourite five…
