My second of three weddings this week was the lovely Matthew and Sadie who chose to get married at the incredible Chaucer Barn.
This is always one of my favourites, a wonderful big barn where lots of your family can stay surrounded by the most wonderful fields and gardens with lots of beautiful outdoor locations to choose to have your ceremony.
As almost always with Chaucer Barn the couple both decided to get ready there meaning I could capture the girls and the boys! I arrived as the girls were getting ready with the fab Emily from Love Moi Makeup doing Sadie’s makeup she looked incredible and the girls were all having a wonderful morning together getting excited for the day ahead.
I headed down to the boys who were getting ready in the pink sitting room and we had a bit of a giggle as they all tried to do ties and pin the button holes on each other! I got some really lovely getting ready shots of the guys together before I headed back up to Sadie who was about to get into her dress!
With the help of her mum she shimmied into the tiny dress and it hugged her figure like a glove. With the shoes, the veil and her beautiful jewellery safe to say she looked incredible. She did a reveal at the bottom of the Chaucer Staircase with her uncle Rob who had the honour of giving her away and safe to say he was rather blown away!
I headed over to the woodland as arrived as Sadie and the bridesmaids made their way across the fields and up the aisle. They had a beautiful ceremony with two really personal readings before signing the register in the wooden hut and asking back down the aisle. Jenna and I lined the guests up under the arch for confetti before they led heir guests across the fields and back to the house for drinks.
After their group photos we nipped off for a few couple shots before they were announced in for afternoon tea by the wonderful back to Your Place. They decided to do their speeches first so the boys could relax and enjoy their dinner and I have to say they were 3 really lovely speeches. Matthew even got rather emotional in his (and his best man ribbed him for it being next up!)
After the food they had some more time with their guests before we nipped out for some evening couple shots just as the sun made an appearance for the first time that day! In fact it was out for about 10 mins before it went behind the clouds again for the rest of the evening!
I had a wonderful day with these guys and I can’t wait to share some more, for now though here are my favourite five moments…
