I have had three beautiful weddings at Holkham this August and the last of the three was the lovely Alice and Ed!
I arrived with the girls getting ready in the gorgeous Ancient House (part of the Holkham Estate) and they were having a wonderfully relaxed morning together.
The boys had been to collect the amazing classic car owned by Ed’s Dad they were planning to use for the day and then just before it was time for Alice to get into her gorgeous dress I headed to capture a few of Ed and his best man getting ready.
Back at the room Alice got into her dress with the help of her mum and maid of honour EJ and looked incredible! After a few shots of her ready I headed up to the hall to capture the last guests arriving and taking their seats. Waiting for a few last min guests Alice wasn’t far behind me but waited down the drive a little for the last few to arrive! She walked up the aisle to the most beautiful string quartet and had the most beautiful ceremony on the steps in the Marble Hall.
Half way through the ceremony they had a lovely reading and then Ed’s mum played a beautiful piece on the piano which was so special.
After the ceremony Ed and Alice headed up the stairs to the saloon while I gathered their guests on the steps ready for confetti. All the guests headed out for their large group shot on the steps outside before we did their smaller groups and the guests headed in for drinks and canapés in the beautiful Saloon. The guests were entertained by the brilliant magician Edd Crafer which made for some wonderful shots!
I headed over to the Lady Elizabeth Wing which looked incredible for a few shots of the tables before meeting Ed and Alice out the front to nip off for their couple shots from the top of the hill with the magnificent view of Holkham behind them. We also got a few with the stunning car!
Back down at the Hall it was time to be called to sit for a delicious meal by Dandelion Catering who looked after Edd and I wonderfully! They had three fantastic speeches and Ed, Alice and I nipped out for some golden hour shots as the light was getting beautifully low.
Back at the Lady Elizabeth wing it was time to cut the cake and then they went straight into their choreographed first dance before the dance floor filled up!
Huge thanks to Laura and the Holkham and Dandelion Staff for looking after me so well as well as Alice and Ed who were great fun to shoot!
Here are my favourite five moments…
