I Do… Alasdair & Rachel, Elms Barn {Favourite five Memories}

Rather than the usual ‘Sneak Peek’ of one shot this year I have decided to share five of my favourite memories from each wedding and so am launching this today with Alasdair and Rachel’s beautiful Spring day…

Yesterday we headed over to the beautiful Elms Barn to shoot Alasdair and Rachel’s gorgeous wedding. Rachel was getting ready with her mum and 6 lovely bridesmaids so there was lots of fun and champagne flowing! Whilst shooting all the fun the heavens opened and it looked like we were in for a rather wet wedding!

They chose to get married in a beautiful little church in the village of Topcroft. It was one of the prettiest and lightest little churches I have ever shot in and by the time the ceremony began the sun was steaming in through the windows.

A beautiful and emotional ceremony followed and homemade cakes and sausage rolls were served as we captured their family group shots at the church in beautiful sunshine. Back at Elms we took the fab bridesmaids and groomsmen off for some fun shots in the grounds. These guys were so much fun and looked so fab in their mint green dresses waistcoats and flat caps  I knew they would be up for getting something a little different!

After their meal the stunning sunshine that had been with us all day got beautiful, low and golden so Rachel and Alasdair headed out for a few more couple shots with the sunset. The night finished with yummy Crepes and a rather crazy barn dance!

There were so many fabulous little moments at this wedding here are my favourite five…

Huge thanks to the lovely bridesmaids and groomsmen for being so much fun, I hope you all enjoyed the rest of the evening!

    I’m so pleased that we chose Katherine to capture our special day. Not only are her pictures beautiful, light and fun; she made the whole experience enjoyable and easy.
    Katherine was incredibly professional and lovely at the same time; she always had half an eye out for the next photo opportunity (we managed to have the first golden light shots of this year as well as some fun bridesmaid and groomsmen set ups!) which would make our pictures/memories all the more special. At the same time Katherine is very well aware that it is your day and works around your timings, although she does have some very good advice and suggestions if you are unsure yourself.
    Heather, who assisted on our day, is also lovely and incredible friendly, putting you at ease from the moment you meet her.
    I have only seen our sneak peaks, which are beautiful, but I am so excited to see the rest.
    I couldn’t recommend Katherine Ashdown Photography enough!
    Thank you for helping make our day special.
