I am thrilled to finally announce our first photography course – ‘Book Your Diary Solid!’

Altogether I have been in the photography business 10 years but have in that time had to do what many photographers have to – a day job!

I have been building up the business in Norfolk for the last 4 years and am now over the moon to have made Wedding and Lifestyle Photography my full time career. I shot over 30 weddings, 30 engagement and 30 lifestyle shoots last year, 2012 was fully booked for weddings before the 1st of January and I  have more than 50 prepaid lifestyle clients ready to book.

When I began 10 years ago there were no courses on the market, today there are many more but I really felt that with all the wonderful courses teaching you how to shoot better, there were no courses telling you how to be be  better business person.

I feel that my photography business is around 10% photography and 90% business. You could be the best photographer in the world but if no one knows you exist you don’t have a business.

There are lots of photographers out there doing it very well and lots who are struggling for bookings month on month or just starting out and this course is aimed at you!

The course will be run with my sister Sam Jones who has also been a professional photographer but who now runs a successful marketing based business Home Truths and has a wealth of knowledge about marketing and social networking for your business.

There are so many questions a new photographer has and when you are working alone there is often no one to ask! Where do you find your clients, what is your average order value, what are your systems, what is the best way to conduct a wedding consultation or lifestyle viewing, what samples do you need, which photos do you choose, to what level do you edit and many more questions will be answered in this course. You will leave full of ideas and with a plan of how to make 2012 a great year!

I have made a few mistakes along the way but  my business is healthy and successful and I want to give you a helping hand in the right direction!

The course will run on the 21st March 2012 and will be held at the gorgeous Ship Inn, Weybridge, Surrey – LINK, which is walking distance from Weybridge train station and 3 miles from the M25. It is £250 OR if you book by the X there is an early bird offer of £200!
