My final wedding of 2019 and what a wonderful way to finish. Back to one of my all time favourite venues the stunning Holkham Hall. Matt and Di had decided to have a small ceremony of just 15 at the romantic and cosy Temple nestled in the woods off the beaten track.
With just 15 people they opted for a mini package of four hours which is perfect for a smaller wedding and what a lovely 4 hours I had capturing this special day for them.
I arrived with Di and her bridesmaid and family getting ready in the most beautiful holiday cottage. Although I was only there a short time it was lovely to capture her getting into her dress before I headed over to Holkham.
Up at the Temple the log burner was roaring and the outside and the inside had been decorated to the hilt in gorgeous winter foliage and included the prettiest floral arch and a fire pit. Matt was already their with their gorgeous little boy Blake and it was lovely to capture some images of the guests as hey arrived.
Time to take their seats and Di arrived and was helped out of the car by her dad. Just a few seconds to get straight outside the front of the Temple and she walked up the short aisle to greet Matt and their son who she hadn’t seen since the night before. Lit by candles the Temple was dark and romantic and they had a gorgeous ceremony surrounded by those they loved most.
After the ceremony the weather held off and we headed outside for group shots and a confetti shot. It was time for Blake to take a nap so we grabbed a few images with him and their dog Beau before he headed off for a sleep.
While the guests were treated to drinks and canapés and the Temple was set up for their meal we sneaked off for some images down the lane and looking over the hall. We were lucky enough to see an amazing white stag and managed to capture him in the background of a few images before we headed back to the Temple.
It had been transformed with tables and the most gorgeous place settings and flowers and couldn’t have looked more perfect for their winter meal. As the guests sat I said my goodbyes and headed off.
Being asked to capture such a small intimate day is such an honour as it really does feel like you are one of the guests. Matt and Di’s friends and family couldn’t have made me feel more welcome and I don’t think I could have finished the amazing year of 2019 with a more perfect wedding.
I have struggled to pick just 5 but here they are, I can’t wait to share more from this amazing day…
