Saturday was my first wedding of 2017 and what a way to start! It was a beautiful winters day and I headed out early to the beautiful Fennes Estate in Essex.
Karley and David have been together for 20 years and have 3 gorgeous girls so the day was very much a celebration not just of their relationship (which has already stood the test of time) but also their wonderful family.
I arrived early to have a look round the grounds then headed up to the bridal rooms to start by shooting the girls getting ready. It was a busy morning with Karley, her sister Krisstey, mum Dawn, hair, makeup and her 3 beautiful girls, having fun and popping champagne! Whilst the ladies finished off I headed down to meet Dave arriving and shoot him and the boys pinning their button holes on each other.
Back up with the ladies it was time to get into their dresses. Karley looked incredible in her elegant silk gown and my first sneak peek just has to be this gorgeous shot of her 3 daughters helping her into her amazing Rachel Simpson shoes!
Downstairs the guests were gathering and as Karley followed her girls to the top of the aisle her and Dave looked so excited to see each other. They had a beautiful ceremony before the guests headed outside for drinks and canapés. After their group photos the sun made an appearance and we headed off to capture some shots of all 5 of them before the girls headed back to the party and I kept Dave and Karley for their couple shots.
There is always a risk of a wet, cold day getting married in winter but we couldn’t have been luckier, the day was mild for February and the sun kept peeking out from behind the clouds at some rather perfect moments!
After a delicious meal and some really touching speeches it was time for the cake cut and first dance. Karley choose to do a second dance with her dad which is rare nowadays and something I love! The guests filled the dance floor so I was able to capture some fabulous dancing shots before leaving for the evening.
I have so many beautiful shots from this wedding but I wanted to pick some which featured their gorgeous girls as I know these would be the most important to them.
So I give you my favourite five moments from my first gorgeous wedding of 2017…
Huge thank you to Dave and Karley for making me feel so welcome and my amazing three course meal! Also to Chloe, Beau and Scarlett for being little stars in front of the camera!
