I have been dying to blog this wedding for ages! In fact I have a few more from last year that I am dying to blog but have been waiting for my new blog to be up and running. This is the first one and is actually a wedding I shot with the amazing Steve Gerrard last summer. Steve is a great friend of mine and an amazingly talented photographer so when I had the opportunity to go and learn from the best for a day I jumped at the chance. I was very lucky as this was one special wedding! Part Marie Antoinette themed, with the bride is an amazing Ian Stuart dress and gorgeous deep purple jacket and accessories; part Alice in Wonderland, with eat me/drink me cakes and favours and all the guests asked to wear hats! Some of the guests had made a huge effort with this and long with the caricaturist they had hired for the day the wedding had a fun and relaxed vibe. They also had a band play in the evening, not just any band but the ‘best womans’ band and wow were they good!
We snuck away in the late afternoon sun for their couple shots and as the wedding was at the beautiful Curradine Barns there was a farm yard not far away! Amanda braved the mud in her dress and we got some stunning shots as the sun was going down that have a beautiful golden hue with cows thrown in for good measure!A huge thank you for allowing me to be part of your magical day Rand and Stef and to Steve for inviting me. Here are some of my favourites…
