Our Life… The Sambells Family {Sneak Peek}

The weather has been rather up and down this September and Friday was no exception! I was due to meet Mel and Mikey at 10am but after a couple of messages and weather checking we moved it to 9am in the hope we would miss the rain… which we did, just!

I have been really looking forward to this shoot. After a beautiful engagement shoot then stunning boudoir shoot I shot Mel and Mikey’s gorgeous wedding way back in 2012. Since then they have been blessed with the gorgeous little Mali and I was lucky enough to capture him too in the first few weeks after he was born. Fast forward three and a half years years and Mali is now a gorgeous, funny, cheeky, 3 and a half year old, but still has the very same huge blue eyes you can’t fail to fall for!

Mel and Mikey decided to have their shoot at the beautiful Narborough Hall as this is where they also got married. The grounds are just perfect for this kind of shoot, with beautiful gardens, woodland, a swing, lake and jetty, awesome tree house and a fabulous walled garden. I shoot lots of weddings at Narborough so I was really excited to be back to shoot a family in these amazing locations!

Mali was a little star, we started in the sunshine and walked right round the lake. As it clouded over and got a little darker it also got quite cold but this little trouper carried on and this sneak peek was actually one of the last shots I took!

Huge thanks to Mel and Mikey, I can’t tell you how much I love to shoot a families journey and theirs has been pretty wonderful to capture so far. I can’t wait to see how Mali grows up and do this again in a couple of years.

For now, I couldn’t resist this one as there is that cheeky smile…
