This is one of the most last minute weddings I have every booked… literally just around two weeks before the wedding! Lynda’s sister Claire got in touch to tell me about their wedding and despite being fully booked for this year the date was free and this is one I just couldn’t turn down! The stunning venue of Drift Barn (which I had never shot before) couple and dog photos planned for the beach, and an intimate day of just 21 people, on bonfire night, it sounded perfect!
I arrived as the brilliant Back to Your Place were making brunch for the party and Lynda was getting her hair done by Leanne Moralee Hair and makeup by Kirstie Makeup Lynda has to be the most relaxed bride I have ever met. She said herself she had never planned to ‘get married’ and wanted the day really to feel like a get together more than a wedding. Well I think she nailed it.
Her guests had a lovely brunch, and then only around an hour before the ceremony drifted off to start getting ready. They sat on comfy chairs as the ceremony happened in the lounge and spent the afternoon having tea and the amazing wedding cake Lynda’s mum made, chatting and even playing drinking games! Back to your place did them a wonderful dinner of bangers and mash (perfect autumn wedding food in my book!) and sticky toffee pudding and after a little rest they had sparklers, fire pits, marsh mallows and fireworks in the garden.
In the middle of the day despite rather wild weather on the Norfolk coast they braves the beach for a few pics with their doggy Archie.
It was honestly the most chilled out wedding I have had the pleasure to capture. Huge thank you to Claire for being the wedding planner of dreams! Here are a few of my favourite moments…
