I can’t quite believe its been a whole week since this wedding and it was my first trip to Chaucer for 2018! As most of you will know I adore Chaucer Barn and am lucky enough to shoot there multiple times most years. I love how every wedding feels so different and personal as you simply hire the venue and design the rest yourself which seems to make every wedding feel really unique.
Beth and Ewan chose a mini package for their day of 6 hours. These are designed especially for couples who have weekday or smaller weddings and are the perfect way to get gorgeous images for the most important parts of your wedding day.
In contrast to today when at last the sun is out we had a grey misty day but I have to say Chaucer looked beautiful and etherial in a veil of mist. I actually headed to Langham first where Beth was getting ready with her mum, bridesmaid Maia and her and Ewan’s gorgeous little girl Ailish. Beth and the girls had already been into Holt to have their hair done and arrived back for makeup and to get into her gorgeous dress with the help of her mum.
I headed off to the barn with Beth following a little behind in a fabulous VW Camper van and arrived to meet Ewan looking amazing in his kilt and the guests starting to arrive.
They had a beautiful ceremony with Ailish having a big part and helping the proceedings along! After which with lots of little guests they had arranged a wonderful magic show by Steve Sausage, which I think the adults just as much!
Chaucer looked just gorgeous in the mist and so we headed off for a few family shots with Ailish and Ebony the dog before they headed back with Beth’s mum to the party while we did a few more couple shots. Once they had taken their seats they did the speeches before the meal so that I could capture these for them before leaving including Beth’s which was hilarious!
I had such a special day with these guys and it was wonderful to capture this for them and their families. Here are a few of my favourites from their day…
As only a ‘step’ granny, I was very honoured to be invited to Beth and Ewan’s wedding. It was a wonderful day and a beautiful venue. I’m sure everyone enjoyed it as much as I did.
Lots of love to the lovely little family.
