Chaucer Barn is one of my all time favourite venues. Nestled in the countryside of North Norfolk it is a hidden gem and the kind of weddings I shoot at this venue are always relaxed, happy and fun!
Derek and Catherine’s wedding was no exception. Apart from a little rush in the morning (as there so often is!) these guys were happy, great fun and had a lovely relaxed day. In a Halfpenny London two piece, the most delicate veil and Valentino shoes Catherine looked incredible and couldn’t even be outdone (though he had a good go!) by Derek in his kilt who looked amazing!
The weather wasn’t quite on our side for an outdoor ceremony but it didn’t matter one bit and they said their vows in the beautiful banqueting hall surrounded by their friends and family who even spilled onto the balcony.
After the ceremony they had drinks and canapés in the pink sitting room spilling onto the patio and we captured their group shots at the front of the beautiful barn.
We headed into the gorgeous grounds for their couple shots before they headed into the marquee set at the top of the field over looking the amazing view for their meal.
They had some incredible speeches, in particular Derek’s two best men who even dressed up and had the room in stitches!
After the meal we didn’t quite get golden hour but had a little sunlight peeping through the clouds and headed into the field for a few photos with their super cute little dog Poppy.
After their first dance the guests piled on the dance floor and we headed off as their evening food was about to be served.
Huge thanks to Derek and Catherine for a wonderful day and to my niece Molly for doing a wonderful job of assisting!
I have lots more shots from this amazing wedding but for now here are my favourite five moments…
Amazing pictures/Amazing Day!
The most amazing day of my life. Katherine and Molly were superb as our photographers. They put us at ease. The photos are out of this world. Thanks for making our memories timeless. Derek the Groom xx
You are very welcome Derek, it was a wonderful day and a pleasure to capture it for you! x
