Its rare I travel for weddings but if I get an enquiry from a couple I really connect with or a venue I adore then I will shoot weddings all over the UK – and beyond!

I think Emily actually found me on Instagram and their wedding at the beautiful Gorse Hill in Surrey sounded beautiful. They booked quite a long time ago and their wedding was on a Friday so on Thursday I headed down to Surrey to be fresh and ready for their wedding the following day.

Emily was getting ready with her girls at her parents house on the morning of her wedding so I met her there bright and early to start her getting ready shots. After following her on Instagram and hearing about her plans via my Facebook brides group we felt like we already knew each other so when she hugged me as I arrived it felt like I was greeting an old friend. All Emily and Aaron’s friends and family couldn’t have been more warm and friendly and I had a lovely morning with the girls drinking coffee, eating the amazing buffet Emily’s mum offered me and of course taking some rather lovely photos!

Emily and Aaron chose to get married in a beautiful church quite close to her parents house. When I arrived Aaron was looking  little nervous but as Emily arrived at the top of the aisle his nerves seemed to slide away and he just looked so happy and proud.

After the ceremony we captured their group shots outside the church and then their confetti shot at the gate. We all then headed to the beautiful Gorse Hill for drinks, canapés and to be entertained by the incredible magician Robert Fox who I have to say had some of the best magic tricks I had ever seen!

After a rather amazing 3 course meal and some lovely speeches despite the slightly cloudy day we had the most beautiful golden hour so headed out for a second set of couple shots.

After a wonderful first dance which was sung by Aaron’s very talented cousin Toby we headed upstairs to the corridor outside the bridal suite for a evening shot to finish off the day.
