Last Thursday was my penultimate wedding of the year and it is one I have been looking forward to ALL year! I adore shooting at the incredible Narborough Hall and Gardens and this was my third wedding with them this year. The grounds at Narborough are out of this world and I couldn’t wait to see them as the leaves changed in Autumn.
I was full of cold on Thursday as I headed over to the Hall but after capturing Andy and Alice’s engagement shoot in the poring rain a month or so ago I knew they would be a totally chilled out bride and groom.
The day started in the gorgeous Beauty room at the Hall with Alice and her SIX bridesmaids as well as flower girls, mums and page boys, it was a very busy morning! I headed over to shoot the guys at the grooms cottages who were great fun and looked super cool in their bow ties and braces.
Back at the hall we headed to the bridal suite which was a little less busy to pop her dress on. Surrounded by her bridesmaids and Alice grinning from ear to ear it was one of my favourite parts of the day and so is my first sneak peek! After we captured a few images of Alice ready Dad came in for an ‘unveil’ of the dress and to give her a little gift. As they opened it between them it became clear that the little sixpence wasn’t in the oodles or wrapping and their faces made me giggle as soon as I shot this… it was founds second later in Dad’s pocket so she DID have a silver sixpence in her shoe!
They had the most beautiful ceremony in the barn at Narborough Hall which was lit with festoon lights, oodles of candles and fairy lights, it was like an Autumn wonderland! As they walked back down the aisle Andy reached up to wipe a tear and I loved this moment!
After the legal part inside the main hall they walked out to oodles of confetti and very excited guests! We didn’t have long before their meal so got their family group shots, their bridesmaid and groomsmen shots up at the treehouse (I can’t wait to share these!) and then we headed round the beautiful grounds for their couple shots.
After a delicious meal the speeches commenced and then sparklers round the fire pitt marked the start of the evening festivities!
I had such a wonderful time with these guys and their lovely families and friends. Huge thanks to the staff at Narborough for keeping my cold at bay with hot cups of coffee and to Emma for doing a wonderful job as always of assisting.
I can’t wait to be back next year!
