I Do… Danny & Georgie, Elms Barn {Favourite Five Moments}

I was back at the gorgeous Elms Barn on Saturday and this time it was Danny and Georgie’s turn to get married!

I arrived early as they were all having breakfast and the barn was a hive of activity with 6 bridesmaids, 1 flower girl, hair, makeup and the mums all getting ready.

Georgie is a seriously stunning girl but as she got into her dress I have to say we were all totally blown away, she looked like a film star! We got some gorgeous shots of her lovely Dad ‘seeing’ her in her dress and then took her through to see the bridesmaids, most of whom hadn’t seen the dress and I just adored their reaction so this has to be my first sneak peek.

Danny and Georgie chose to get married at church so as we headed over the sky started to look greyer and greyer and it was spitting as we arrived.  I am not sure if Danny was nervous but to be honest he simply looked excited as he greeted the guests and chatted to the vicar. At this church we were only aloud to stand at the back for photos but that did mean that I managed to get a shot of Danny’s pretty proud and emotional face as Georgie walked down the aisle with her dad.

As we left the church the rain was coming down with a vengeance so we decided to try to get their group photos between showers back at Elms. Not long after we arrived back the sky brightened and we got all their group shots and couple shots done before the next heavy shower. Just as we finished their couple shots and were heading back to the venue I noticed the sky in the front field had turned black… Georgie and Danny trusted that it would be worth it and we nipped over to grab a few shots with this incredible sky, which is one of my favourite sneak peeks below!

After another amazing Elms Barn meal and some pretty awesome speeches Georgie decided to throw the bouquet, which happens very rarely and is always some of my favourite images to get on a wedding day. This was no exception in fact there was rather a lot of competition for the bouquet, which made for some hilarious photos and another of my favourite five below!

As the evening drew in just before the first dance we got a few minutes of golden hour as the sun peeped between the clouds and it was the most perfect way to end the day.

Huge thanks to Danny and Georgie for trusting me to get the best shots we could between the rain and for a lovely day. Also to all their friends and family who treated me like one of the party and a shout out to Robyn who did the incredible flowers.

Thank you also to Emma for assisting and Kate and Tori from Elms for looking after us so well. I can’t wait to shoot at Elms barn again soon!

So here are my favourite five moments of this incredible wedding…

    The final image Katherine is absolutely stunning. I just love the contrast between the couple and the sky.
