I Do… Brendan & Philippa, Norfolk Mead {Fave 5 Moments}

On Saturday I was back at the fabulous Norfolk Mead for Brendan & Philippa’s day. I think this wedding was one of the first I booked for this year way back 25 MONTHS ago so its been a long time coming!

Philippa is self confessed ‘not girly’ but I have to say did a very good job of looking beautiful, elegant and really timeless in her lace gown. I arrived at one of the cottages at the Mead and she was getting ready with the help of her hairdresser and her sister Erica who was on makeup duty. The cottage was full with her nieces, brother in law and mum and dad popping in too so it was a lovely exciting morning!

I headed across to The Mead in time for Brendan and his best man Dean arriving in a surprise car Philippa had arranged before heading in to capture them getting ready.

Back over with the girls it was time for Philippa to get into her dress and she had arranged her bridal shop to come and help and make sure it all looked perfect… and it did!

I captured some gorgeous shots of her ‘ready’ before she headed down the stairs ready to unveil to her dad. He had in fact told me just before she came out the door that Philippa had always said she would never get married… her dad always said ‘when you find the right man you will!’ Well she found the right man in Brendan and she absolutely looked like a ‘bride’! I think it’s safe to say her dad was pretty blown away (I adore the shot below!)

She walked across the walled garden with her dad looking a little nervous and up the aisle to meet a very proud looking Brendan at the top! The had a beautiful ceremony with tears during the readings and they looked so happy and rather more relaxed as they walked back down the aisle!

They had some time to be congratulated before we captured their group shots and then a few couple shots in the beautiful grounds. After a fabulous meal (Norfolk Mead always do the best food!) they had their speeches which were brilliant and just the right measure of funny and incredibly touching. As they had quite a late ceremony it was almost time to cut the cake and go into their first dance but before they did we nipped outside for a few evening shots.

This felt like such a magical, relaxed wedding day surrounded by all their favourite people and looked after by the amazing staff at Norfolk Mead (Thanks Francesca and Victoria!)

Here are my favourite five moments…
