Monday Monday…

It is Monday again – where do the days go? It always feels like I have only just written this post but at the same time that so much has happened since last week. I hope you have all had a lovely week and a great weekend?

Most of my time has been spent in the office again but this week it started slightly differently. My lovely friend and past bride Emma came to help me out at the beginning of the week. She is currently off work on maternity leave and wanted to get her brain working again by helping me a little in the office. Her day job is as a PA so I was really able to put her to good use for the measly price of her lunch! It was also just lovely having some company as most of my week (except when out at shoots, viewings or consultations) I am alone editing in my home office. We might have done a little more tea drinking and nattering than work but hey ho, it was lovely to have the company!

I also went out on a viewing at the beginning of the week to show a lovely couple who participated in my first night time engagement shoot their images! They were thrilled with the results and I will be posting their whole shoot soon so keep your eyes peeled.  Later in the week I went to see a great couple and their two gorgeous cats, Branston and Pickle for a wedding consultation (we maybe talked more cats than weddings!) this is one of the parts of my job I love the most; sitting, drinking tea and being given biscuits (shhhh don’t tell my other half I broke my diet) with a new bride and groom hearing all about how they got engaged, their wedding plans and showing them my work. With this couple it was especially lovely as they actually got engaged on top of a hill looking over Lake Windermere in the Lake District.  As  many of you will know this is where I am from and made me all nostalgic for home hearing all about what a romantic proposal it was!

I am also thrilled to have had two lovely wedding blog features this week (I seem to have been on a roll!)  The first was the gorgeous wedding blog ‘Wedding Muse’ who featured my older sisters beautiful, sunny and relaxed garden party wedding. This was actually almost two years ago but I found it really lovely to revisit such  personal shots. View this post HERE

The second feature was an interview on the rather Chic wedding blog ‘Bridal Musings’. Elizabeth has interviewed not only some of the best wedding photographers in the country on her blog but also some of my favourite UK photographers so it was a real honour to be asked to do the same.  The questions were a little tough but  I actually really enjoyed testing myself by answering them!  Elizabeth also featured some of my favourite wedding and engagement shots with the interview click HERE to have a look.

The week then finished with two lovely Lifestyle Shoots . The first was one that has been in my diary for months with a lovely 1 year old little girl and her 3 and a half year old super cool brother. They had a lovely garden with a chicken coupe so we did their entire shoot in the garden playing on the grass, with their numerous toys, the cutest Wendy house you have ever see and even IN the chicken coupe – sneak peek on the way!

For my second Lifestyle Shoot I travelled to the gorgeous Norwich Cathedral and had the immense pleasure of shooting 6 beautiful ladies of 3 generations. What could be better in the run up to mothers day then this fabulous girlie shoot?! Sneak peek on the way!

If you have not logged in to the blog this week then here is a round up of what you missed, do select the posts you like the sound of and if you enjoy please take the time to comment I love to read them!
