I Do…. David & Lily, Southwood Hall {Favourite Five Moments}

Last weekend I had two very different and very beautiful weddings. Friday was the gorgeous Lily and David and knowing Lily she is a total party animal at the fab Southwood Hall.

I first met David and Lily just a few days after they had become engaged at another wedding (the lovely Tom and Donna) two years ago and they then booked me via email. I met them for their engagement shoot which was great fun (despite the drizzle) and hearing about their plans made me super excited for their day.

I met Lily and her girls getting ready in the morning in the Southwood Hall cart lodge they were having a great morning and I don’t think I have seen a more relaxed and excited bride. Drinks and giggles flowing I got some gorgeous shots of the girls and when Lily got into her beautiful Blush dress I was blown away. She very much wanted to feel and look like a princess and topped off with a tiara and veil she looked amazing.

Over at the barn the guests were arriving and greeting a slightly more nervous looking David before taking their seats and waiting for Lily to arrive. They had the most beautiful ceremony and I don’t think Lily stopped grinning at David the whole way through. Afterward we headed to the back of the barn to capture their full group shot and then confetti followed by drinks with their guests and their smaller group photos.

The weather was a little unpredictable so we nipped off for some couple shots in the grounds before dinner. They had some wonderful speeches that had lots of giggles and tears and included some hilarious projector images by the best men!

After dinner we were lucky enough for the sun to come out and the light to get low so we headed off for some golden hour shots just as the sun was dropping. Back at the barn David and Lily greeted their evening guests before their first dance. The dance floor filled up and I was able to capture some dance floor images before their guests were treated to fish and chip cones and I headed off for the evening.

Huge thank you to Lily and David, their lovely bridesmaids and groomsmen as well as their families for making me feel so welcome. I had such a fun time celebrating with you and hope you partied well into the night!
