I Do… Chris & Maddie, Chaucer Barn {Favourite Five Moments}

Another amazing Chaucer Barn wedding last weekend and I could seriously get used to this weather. It may be hot to shoot them but all this sunshine is really spoiling us for weddings!

So Saturday came and knowing we would be having a pretty awesome day I headed up to the gorgeous Chaucer to meet Maddie and Chris. Maddie was getting ready with the girls and Michelle Bennett doing a beautiful job of her makeup, while Pick-a-Lily were making the marquee look stunning!

I have to say it was one of the most relaxed wedding mornings I have had and everyone was just having a lovely time in the sunshine doing the final preparations, including the boys whom I had lots of fun with trying to help them with pocket squares and button holes!

Maddie got into her stunning lace dress and had a glass of champers with the girls before her Dad came into see her looking incredible. Most summer weddings at Chaucer I find are planned for outside then there is lots of discussion in the morning whether or not the weather will hold out. Not wanting that stress Maddie decided to have the ceremony in the beautiful banqueting hall and walked up the aisle to the sound of a Gospel choir which was incredible and a first for me at a wedding.

After the ceremony they exited to clouds of confetti and enjoyed drinks and canapés from Alex Chef on the lawn before we did their group photos and headed off for a few couple shots in the beautiful grounds. We knew we would have an epic golden hour so we saved the field till the evening and got some beautiful shots as the sun went down!

Down at the marquee they had a yummy meal of BBQ food and salads by Alex and his team followed by speeches before the guests had some more time to chill out in the grounds before heading back to the barn for their first dance. We took this opportunity to sneak off into the field for their final couple shots of the day which are some of my faves, Chaucer Barn sunsets are the best!

After a great first dance The Joe Ringer Band kept the guests on the dance floor while I captured a few images before leaving for the evening!

Huge thanks to Chris and Maddie for being so much fun, I had such a wonderful day with you guys and can’t wait to share the rest, for now here are my favourite five moments…
